The Salary Man Catnip-filled
how it started
One day I thought of an idea of a catnip toy for our cats. I do a lot of my work with my partner, creating projects for books and merch. My partner thought it’d be great if those businessmen were running away from the cats. I suggested them being “salarymen”—a term used in Asia calling office workers who get salaries.
brainstorming
We wanted the illustrations on the toys to be in anime/ manga style.
The task is divided into two major roles when the actual production happens. He writes I create images.

For the logo, City Hunter’s book cover became a great inspiration.
I liked that it captured the dynamic city life and urgency of the situation the illustrated characters will be set it.
